A group of 4, my friends and I decided to leave Santiago for a short adventure to the beaches farther south. We loaded up our Suzuki 4 Wheel Drive SUV with all our food, camping equipment and strapped the surfboards to the roof.

After three hours traveling down the Ruta 5, we took our exit and headed west towards the ocean. A few hours later we arrived at the sea and began our search for the best waves

Curanipe and the surrounding areas are populated by farms and forest, but not many people or roads. With is reality, we had to discover ways to access the places we wanted to go. Luckily we had a 4 Wheel Drive SUV so we were able to use the few logging roads that exist and drive through the sand to get to the perfect waves!

Three days of searching out epic waves was a great experience. We got to see so much nature in the beautiful landscapes that many tourists and Chileans never have visited! Not to mention the beaches are nearly deserted all year round unlike Santiago’s neighboring beach cities!

We were very pleased with the performance of the car and returned it in the same great shape as how we received it! We are grateful to Chile Inside for their customer support and great prices!
